Dr. Leila Hejazi, PhD is a Principal Research Scientist specializing in mass spectrometry, analytical chemistry, and biomarker discovery. She combines more than 20 years of experience across academia and industry to deliver precise analytical solutions, from discovery metabolomics to regulated material characterization.
Dr. Hejazi’s career highlights include developing a 2D LCXMS approach for lipid analysis in Alzheimer’s research, directing mass spectrometry core facilities, and leading industry projects at Medtronic. She has led development of MSI-DeepPath for spatial quantitation and served as PI on multiple NIH and NIST grants focused on spatial metabolomics and point-of-care analytical devices.
